I thought the weak foley really worked in its favor, at least in the sense of mildly simulating psylocibin induced weirdness. Also managed to crash my browser for the first time in a while.

I like it. Even just for the atmospheric sound effects. Was it just me or was anyone expecting a fart sound when the camera zoomed in on the girls behinds... ok it was just me... :(

I thought this was brilliant - it completely encapsulates the hollow, vapid quick-edit distraction ethos of today's modern culture. The ambient sound only serves to heighten the void within - the lack of content, context and relativity to any historical narrative.

Amazing how removing the music changes the video from wonderfully ridiculous and fun to just plain weird and kind of dumb.

I'm about Gangnam'ed out. I'm not tired of the original song and the video, but all the side commentary, lip dubs, rehashes, wacky dance videos and parodies from people wanting to attach themselves to this cultural phenomenon are getting on my nerves.

It's everywhere. Gangnam Style is everywhere. Number 2 on the US billboard chart. Probably number one on the UK singles chart tomorrow. 300+ million YouTube hits. Parodies being created so quickly you can't keep up with them. Or avoid them.
What's the solution? Don't know. Perhaps escape to the bottom of the ocean till it all blow over.

I was away from most of the Internet for 2 weeks and missed the advent of Gangnam. Just watched the original today.
(a) "Gangnam" sounds a lot like "condom."
(b) I wouldn't do that pony dance if I knew someone was filming me.

He shouldn't have taken out the music on the part where Psy is on the bus with all those older women (ajummas) because singing and dancing on buses is a thing that ajummas actually do! Example 1 and Example 2, and here is a blog post by someone who experienced this herself.

@beekept: he removed the entire music track. The music you hear at the end isn't him inserting the audio back in. It's actually playing in the club where they're dancing.
