"Wes Anderson" by I Cani This is the video (SLYT WHOOO!!) for a wonderful song in Italian about wanting to live in Wes Anderson's films. And, of course, the video is a proper homage (and a half).
(via tumblr, a rough English translation of the lyrics:
I want to live in a Wes Anderson film, see you in slow motion when you get off the train. With the characters of Wes Anderson films: idiosyncratic, more likeable than me.
And the bad guys are not really bad. And the enemies are not really enemies. But even the good are not really good, just like you and me.
I want to live in a Wes Anderson movie: symmetrical shots and then the Kinks start [playing]. I would love the films of Wes Anderson, all tenderness and bittersweet endings.
And the bad guys are not really bad. And the brothers are not really enemies. But even the good are not really good, just like you and me.)

Oh that was wonderful! Delightful from the very beginning with the hand stamping the library book. Thank you for posting this.

And catchy tune. I caught myself reading your translation to it in my head.

In case anyone is wondering about the huge block of text that is flashed on the screen almost subliminally in the last few frames of the video, it reads as follows:
200g spaghetti fresh or driedposted by Harvey Kilobit at 9:57 PM on October 10, 2012 [4 favorites]
2 egg yolks
1 full egg
50g of pancetta
3 tablespoons of grated pecorino cheese
1 half tablespoon of grated parmesan
A few sprigs of fresh chopped parsley
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
Boil a pot of water and add a teaspoon of salt. Add pasta to the boiling water & cook to packet instructions. I recommend checking the 'bite' of the pasta starting at 5 minutes before said cooking time to get it to your taste. In a pan, heat olive oil, and fry the garlic and bacon until it starts to crisp. Place on kitchen paper to drain excess oil. In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks and egg with a wee bit of warm water and 3/4 of the cheese until it is creamy. Drain your pasta (reserve a little bit of the starchy liquid as it is good to help sort out the sauce if it is too thick and gloopy). Add the pasta and parsley to the bowl and mix. Add 3/4 of the bacon, season and mix again. Serve while hot, and sprinkle the remaining cheese and bacon on top, and a good season of cracked black pepper.
Damn catchy, and making me wish for the days of my mis-spent youth. I'll have to check out some more of their tunes

Some of the band's other songs seem fairly poignant. Here's one Related Videos gave me titled Asperger's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE-oeZdgoeY&feature=related
Google translate will provide a rough idea of the lyrics which can be found in Italian in the video description. Fun stuff.

Great video and nice song, but they really blew it by not including every single moment from all of WA's movies and commercials and student films and home videos so that not a single thing would be left out and nobody would have to point out what they forgot or what would make it all better.

This is the working title of Wes Anderson's upcoming film.

Lyrics in English (according to one site):

And the bad guys are not really bad. And the enemies are not really enemies. But even the good are not really good, just like you and me.

And the bad guys are not really bad. And the brothers are not really enemies. But even the good are not good really
just like you and me.
