Oh, I missed it! (It's just after midnight on November 1st here and the doodle doesn't show up when I click your link or go direct to the Google homepage). Is there somewhere I can click through to to see it anyway?

I dressed my dog up as a cat for Halloween. Now he won't come when I call him.

lollusc, here's a link to all the US doodles from 2012. Halloween isn't there yet, but perhaps it will be tomorrow?

KITTY!

Actually made an audible growl of delight at that animation, mid-office. Whoops.

TOMORROW? I can't wait until tomorrow! Someone said there's a KITTY.

(I should really go to bed.)

It doesn't show up for me either, though it's Oct. 31 here, and I use regular google.com no matter how insistently they try to make me use google.gr.

But I found it here.

Google doodles lost their charm for me when I read about the patent they have on them: Systems and methods for enticing users to access a web site. Get enticed!! There's a cat.

I dressed my cat up as a cyclops for halloween. All I had to do was turn it around.

...and the call was coming from the front page of Google!!!

...and hanging from the search bar was...a bloody hook!

Wow - the patent arsey links to is absolute gibberish. there is so much wrong with that being patented. Sigh. But we've had this conversation before haven't we.

Huh. I'm at the office and there is no animation. Boo. will try at home.

I'm at the office and there is no sound. Double Boo!

They've also patented ideas for the explicit purpose of preventing others from patent-squatting on ideas, so unless they've threatened to prosecute for it, I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt.

Nicely done: the quick rattling door sound at load to indicate what's clickable.

I'm in Belgium, my Browser is Chrome and I'm using a 10.7 macbookpro. Whenever I try to access google.com I'm redirected to google.be

Any idea on how I can force Google to display the US version of its home page, featuring the doodle ? Thanks in advance.
