My cat Trilby takes umbrage at Henri's use of the term "l'imbecile blanc", but feels he can get behind Henri's demand for no castration without representation.

Cat memes have certainly bifurcated over the years. Henri is great in that he he played against the "I can has cheeseburger" archetype. He played against that archetype very well but I would argue he is just as facile and one dimensional.

Recently there have been some much more nuanced memes.

Cats of the now, Tardur Sauce and Pokey force us to ask if cat memes are simply a reflections of ourselves.

Human Stahp, which posits that the true folly lies with humanity.

Incredulous Cat, forces us to question our own place within nature.

Within the past few days the much more experimental Selfpic Cat has begun to question the nature of memes and subvert our expectations of what a cat meme can be.

Within the next week watch for Sinister Cat to break new grounds in cat memes.

Cat memes are certainly a rich an fertile area of study.

Henri certainly has a point in his latest Halloween video: No one ever dresses as crippling self-doubt.

Why is that?

I've laughed for the last hour since discovering Henri. Thank you.

I was confused by the Halloween video when he spoke of tributes to lost friends, then I watched the first one and I laughed. I like these.

I was totally going to post this, but another FPP made a reference to Henri so I figured it wasn't worthy of its own FPP. Thank you for posting this!

And the great thing is, Henri would probably agree with you. Because after all, mon ami, at la fin du jour is not existence itself, as you say, facile and one dimensional?

Paw de Deux was recently voted the best cat video ever during that Internet Cat Video Festival that took place on the West coast a few weeks ago.

Nothing breaks my heart more than hearing that someone's beloved cat died. :( This is most distressing, homunculus.
