If you refresh quickly, you'll find that some of those people are, evidently, living in your basement. I'll be right back, I've got to get a flashlight...

Anyone else in Brooklyn getting 278-280 Broadway, New York, NY 10007, USA as their address but isn't actually there?

I got really detailed instructions on how to get to an address in London, including ferry details. But I can't help wondering what it would have told me if the last person was further away. Or did it just give me instructions to somewhere possible regardless of where the last person was?

Oh, OK I refreshed and now it's giving me a link to a website to find flights to the US. It would have been more cool if it cobbled together a basic flight itinerary too.

Yeah, there's something pretty amusing about refreshing until you are both the current and last visitor. My directions? "Head east 1 ft."

As for addresses like 278-280 Broadway, New York, NY 10007 - I think this is the location of your telecomm switch

278-280 Broadway, New York, NY 10007, USA is the closest Radio Shack to me. Also the Department of Buildings takes up most of that building, so maybe that's where some kind of filings happen? I don't know of any internet businesses in there.

So the message is that I have nothing to worry about because I don't live anywhere near Frisco, TX?

Wait, no. I get it. The message is that producers of content with Polish sounding last names shouldn't be named Charles because it takes me too long to realize they're not Charles Bukowski.

Thorzdad: Hmmmm...I seem to get nothing but a blank white page.
That's because the site didn't provide a <noscript> tag. I got the same thing at first, so I allowed Javascript. Then it asked for my location and, as usual, I said no. Then I got a message saying that providing a location was required. After that I just closed the tab.

I think I've either highlighted the artist's point or missed it entirely. I'm honestly not sure which.

Kind of surprised to discover Chrome doesn't let me set my physical location. I can choose to be tracked or not, but I can't lie or play with it?

If one of you filthy hipsters shows up at my doorstep because of this, I will welcome you with tea and left-over Halloween candy.

If I may make an intervention to interrogate the post's mediation of cultural identities and signifying practices: "Online installation" is Artspeak for "gimmicky web app" now?

Last visitor was only 7 miles away from me. Strange because I'm in Cookeville, TN and this is a fairly rural area. Duke rd you should email me.
