Many ponies that have friendship deserve haters, and some that deserve friendship have haters. Can you give it to them?

Ponies are the new zombies, aren't they? Gah.

Oh, god, this is awesome.

I can sit my six year old niece in front of the TV and slap people upside the head who should know better.

So yes I guess?

This is still going on?

The internet must be slowing down.

The new season of My Little Pony started this week. It is important to be prepared.

This is awesome. Far better than any of those God Damned movies.

I don't understand! They're really bad! Like awful!

Check out the Balrog at the end of the first movie, and the fiery battle at the beginning of the second. That's enough for me.

/masturbates furiously

Oh, fuck off. (Figuratively.)

Ponies are the new zombies, aren't they? Gah.

Nah, because PONIES ARE ESCAPABLE. For its unexpected popularity, the gang around the water cooler doesn't generally talk about what Pinkie Pie did last night. Zombies, on the other hand, drive me right up the wall -- The Walking Dead might as well be called Chase JHarris From The Conversation.

(Oh, in the next episode of the cartoon a magic mirror creates an army of duplicates of Pinkie Pie. If as a result at least one pony doesn't get sent to Ponyville Sanitarium I will be disappointed.)

If I had to pick a favorite brony creation, it wouldn't be this. I'd have to go with the time Jayson Thiessen asked for a PMV (Pony Music Video) of his wife's favorite song, "Up, Up, and Away" by The Fifth Dimension. After an initial flurry of "cram every balloon shot in the show" attempts, this was the result.

Hey that's one of the rare PMVs that I can stand, they did good work with that one!

So, in this adaptation, how is Bill depicted? If it is by a pony, it seems you would run into the Goofy/Pluto Conundrum.

At least something is.

I'm continually impressed by this fandom. It's a magnet for creative and talented people.

They skipped over him. For Gandalf's arrival at the Battle of Helm's Deep, Princess Celestia was technically filling in as both Gandalf the White, Gandalf's Staff, and Shadowfax at the same time.

Since this seems to be the periodic pony thread of the moment, and because ChurchHatesTucker remarked at how many creative people are in the fandom, I figured I should note that, other than the show itself and a few other instances (like the wonderful-looking comic book), the best creators in the fanbase exceed that of the official licensees.

Take the state of pony gaming. Fans are making the awesome, upcoming Fighting Is Magic, Ponykart, Phoenix Wright-style games, a couple of completing MMORPGs, and so forth. The official products are a bunch of lacklustre Flash games, and a Gameloft social game with serious bugs and terribly by-the-numbers gameplay. (Its only real saving grace is its fan shoutouts: it has officialized Bon-Bon's fan-name, Lyra can be added to town early on, and Derpy's appearance is a random event.)

The bronies have already hacked that GameLoft game. (It's been out for a week.)

it has officialized Bon-Bon's fan-name

But comically misses the origin of it, describing her cutie mark as "three bows."

Yeah, I'm going to be using that hack. Because PLAYING APPLE CATCH OR BALL BOUNCE FOR A HUNDRED TIMES IS NOT MY IDEA OF A FUN PLAY EXPERIENCE.

For some reason I thought it was going to be real ponies. And then I was really disappointed.

Exactly, six-or-six-thirty. If it's not real ponies, I don't want it.

Another Metafiler pony thread! Woo!

This was really well done...I LOL'd several times during it. A perfect way to unwind after a very trying week.

About that Gameloft Pony game... the word is that the fans are rebelling against it (CNET). In order to "win," you need to unlock all the main ponies, and to get the last two you need a total of 590 "gems," the game's "premium currency." It ends up costing more than $50 for that alone. It is possible to get gems through other means, but they're incredibly time-consuming. Along the lines of fifteen years time consuming!

I'm not feeling bad about hacking the store price lists at all. And it makes me feel all the better that I've basically ignored this entire benighted genre of gaming.
