I am deeply disappointed. I thought this was going to be about the Geological Society of America.... Boring, from a technical standpoint, is surprisingly interesting.

Some of my favorite Library Congress Subject Headings (surely a candidate for the actual topic of this FPP) -- "Boring -- Congresses," "Boring -- Anecdotes and Stories," "Boring -- Dictionaries," "Boring -- Early Works to 1800..." Oh, is that too much?

Sorry, I get carried away.

In eastern Ohio, both boring and fracking are generating considerable, even earth-shaking interest. With a bit of effort, you could attend a fracking Boring Conference and a boring Fracking Conference on the same day.

Wait, no, not conference. Hearing.

Come to think of it, it would have been nice if a post titled "Being Boring" was actually about the Merrill Bainbridge song and finally explained the line about spores.
