Fillerbunny

Fillerbunny is another creation of Jhonen Vasquez, the twisted author and artist responsible for Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Invader Zim, and others. As his name suggests, Fillerbunny was originally used as a single-page-filler, but he also appears in 16-page minicomics.

Thanks, I probably wouldn't have caught this. Invader Zim was really twisted brilliance...

"Why would you draw that?"

.....i just don't know what to say........there are some things in cyberspace a bunny would prefer NOT to know about.......(ick).......

Oh stop it, bunnyfire. Johnny the Homocidal Maniac is one of the best comics I have ever read, but that's besides the point. If you don't want to know, move along, because there's plenty else for you to complain about elsewhere.

JTHM is a fantastic comic. I have the collectors edition, and I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Fillerbunny is fun, though not quite up to JTHM. But then, that's a hard act to follow. I gave up comics a while ago (snif!) and missed Invader Zim.

Can I borrow someone's copy?

Ha, see...that's how out of the loop I am. I'd forgotten that Zim was a show.

It's Fillerbunny's fault.

"There is a wall in a room on one of the upper levels. You're underground right now; I found these lower rooms when I came here, as well as more devices like the one you're in. But anyhow, if I don't keep painting the wall, it goes soft, and something from the other side begins to push through. My curiosity is not so much that I would find out what that thing is. So, you see, I can't wait any longer."

JTHM is brilliant. I'm hoping Vasquez (and everyone else) can live up to it.

My favorite strips are many from JHTM, but I really love the one where the survey guy goes to the homemaker's house, and she has curlers in the hair, three kids gnawing on her, and she has a t-shirt that says: "DAMN I'm Nasty".

I want that T-shirt.

survey for JTHM fans - Roman Dirge's Lenore - good, or cheap knock off?

(don't even get me started about all the other goth/silly knockoffs, but i think Lenore has some clout...)

I personally didn't like Lenore that much. Read it, didn't like it. Sick, yes, but lacked the sick humor of JTHM. Didn't float my boat, but I give credit where it is due. Just not my thing.

'so are you a vampyre too?'

'no, i'm a mummy.'

'a mummy?'

'yeah, i shoot bees.'

Oddly, my old review of Lenore is a lot more positive than I remember being.

I thought it was a touch hackneyed, and never did pick up another issue.
