I saw 'home made guns in the part of the Historical Museum in Sarajevo which was devoted to the Siege.

Some SCARY looking pieces in there.

Man the second he broke out those terminals to connect it, my arms recoiled at the mere thought of what was going to happen next.

Don't worry, it's just ESD!

This guy is awesome - I've had way too many of those same "holy sh*t!" moments myself - too funny!

There was a post about his ESD video just last week...

After watching this and the previous ESD video, I am not sure if his "mistakes" are satire or not but I find them very educational and I am glad that they are not cut out of his videos. The political commentary at the beginning was amusing as well.

I'm sure they're satire, but what I really want to know is whether he fakes these stunts or if he's actually shocking himself that much with that kind of equipment. That stuff can't be good for the cardiac system.

But he can still do the "unibrow dance" so it can't be that bad. Or maybe it's the cause...?

Hello there.

Having burned and mildly electrocuted myself repeatedly during my own experimentations, yeah, it is definitely a running gag. As far as I can tell, he is either actually shocking himself or doing an amazing job making it look like he is. Either way, the fact that he is still alive/has fingers/not constantly on fire means he knows exactly what he is doing.

Yeah, the ESD thing made the rounds where I work, in a building full of EEs and solder techs. As running gags go, it's very well executed.

I'd like to see him do the gag where you drop your soldering iron and your reflexes kick in and you catch the pointy bit mid fall with your hand.

that was far more amusing than I was expecting.

Doroteo Arango II: "I'd like to see him do the gag where you drop your soldering iron and your reflexes kick in and you catch the pointy bit mid fall with your hand."

Reminds me of an old yarn from my Dad about artists needing to learn to not try and catch the x-acto knife.

There's also a little backward jump/hop you learn, to avoid embedding it in your foot.

I learned that one in the kitchen. At least I almost learned it.

This is funny as hell. He shoots himself, burns himself...lots of mistakes on the way. Maybe attention to safety will be his next video.

I love this video. I've done stupid experimental experiments like that my whole life. I guess I've been lucky, in that I have all my toes and fingers and only slight dain bramage.

This is why meta-reflexes.
