Humor is coming

This is an elegant solution to a problem I've been struggling with, namely that Game of Thrones is a helluva tough song to which to sing along. My improvised lyrics are a work in progress as every episode airs, much to the dismay of my husband, who would prefer I not make the attempt.
He is likely correct.

Usually like a child on Christmas morning who had espresso and fun dip for breakfast.

I had to watch that to learn Game of Thrones isn't even a game at all?
My day is off to a bad start.

When you rap the Game of Thrones you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

They are having such a great time. I am both charmed and jealous. Also ready for new book. New book, come on!

"They rapped and failed?"
"No, they rapped and died."

Colonel Panic, there is a Game of Thrones boardgame. I think the best way to describe it would be Risk-esque, and it's quite good.

Media tie in board games are usually awful but there are a few exceptions. The GoT boardgame is (as Coobeastie says) supposed to be quite good. And as shocking as it seems, the tie in game for the STARZ show Spartacus is apparently one of the best games released in the past couple years. Rock, Paper, Shotgun gave it their boardgame of the year award! Crazy.
The Game of Thrones computer games are terrible, though. GRRM has never met a merchandising deal he didn't like and the quality shows. I guess the boardgame proves that every once in a while evena blind squirrel finds an acorn.

Now I want to see an alternate version of the GoT opening done in the style of "Fresh Prince":
"This is a story all about how/
Their lives got flipped/
Turned upside down/
If you'd like to take a minute/
Just find a place to park/
I'll tell ya how they became/
The orphaned kids of Ned Stark."

This made me viscerally realize that there are KIDS on that show! I hope they redact their scripts or something.

The last person on the credits is Brian Cogman?
I never noticed that before, but I guess it's fitting.

This is adorable, especially since it's so unexpected to see/hear something actually happy associated with Game of Thrones.
Here's the video of them singing along to the theme last season, also adorable.
For some reason, when I try to sing along with the theme, it's always some variation on "Game of Thrones time." The faster bits are like "Gameofthronestimegameofthronestimegameofthroooones" and the longer bits are "Iiiiiiiiiit is time for Ga-a-ame o-of Throooooones, it is time for Game of Throooooooones."
it's a good thing I don't have roommates anymore, is what I'm saying.
