Fantastic post.

Holy crap those '70s shows looked incredible. Hard to believe just how few some of those models actually sold. I actually owned a car from one of the 1981 show pictures. Exact same model, exact same color. Dodge Aries.

I just wish I could see those awesome car pics in a better resolution.

Ha! The 1971 McCormick place one is just so optimistic about the new, futuristic convention center. Gone is the 1950s and 1960's cast concrete! Beautiful steeeel!

And then you drive past it and it's just a brown borg cube.
