Today is like that scene in Being John Malkovich where John Malkovich is with a bunch of other John Malkoviches, all going 'Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich,' but replace the word 'Malkovich' with Google.

Not sure if this is an improvement or not, but Dickens was definitely worse for wear.

Today is like that scene in The Wire where McNulty and Bunk communicate only using the word "fuck", but they are talking about their reliance on Google's various services instead of a homicide.

Yeah. Google docs does that. It's predictive and understands that you are starting to experience writer's block.

The loofah is so startling it leaves no undershorts unstained... I do not whoosh to make my humps a laughing-stock before these idle fasteners. Let absolute festering sloth dim your whore's new baguette. I wish my aunt Muriel would or at least unquestionably could write as mysterious as a cat. Where is her pen? The doer alone learneth.

Zuckerberg is the thief of time, collar him. A good writer possesses not only his own spirit but also the spirit of his friends, preferably in dusty old gallon jugs. Whether 'tis nobblier in the knees to sling the outrageous or suffer the fortunate arrows - two sheep, perchance? Morality is the herd-instinct in the individual poo dream within a dream. An hour behind, the reeking breath, turning up to school without trousers - alas, all is lost!

Mention the name of any of the "assisting" writers in a sentence and hilarity ensues.

I wonder how things would have turned out for Emily Dickinson and these other authors if they had omnipresent internet access like we do... Could they write on machines hooked up to a distraction delivery network? Would they post on Metafilter?
