Watch all 6 New York Miracle Spots! I've been waiting for them to put these online for a long time. Which one's your favorite? (Mine's Woody Allen...how'd he learn to do that?!) Oh, and you need RealPlayer to view them.

I like the Ben Stiller & Kevin Bacon one, but the Woody Allen one did leave me amazed.

Ben Stiller and Barbara Walters spots get my votes. I hope Letterman does one as well.

Overall, this is a great idea. I hope they do more of these. Perhaps they can feature non-movie stars as well...

It's hard to beat an ad that has Robert De Niro asking, "Hey. Are you gobbling at me?"

According to the Oracle of Bacon, Ben Stiller's Bacon number was 2.

Heny Kissinger is an appalling individual for anything positive, let alone something like this.

Otherwise, Barbara's the best in my opinion. The rest are 'ugh!' or corny or both.

Personally, I've gone back to hating New York much like always, and celebrities shilling for it doesn't change that at all. However, I do at least hate it with more of a sense of affection now than I used to. I'd miss it if it wasn't around to revile and despise, and while New Yorkers may be obnoxious, self-absorbed, boorish loudmouths drowning in the crumbling ruins of industrial society, and least they're our obnoxious, self-absorbed, boorish loudmouths drowning in the crumbling ruins of industrial society.

This comment will probably earn me a visit from the Secret Service and/or the FBI. "We have a report that you've said something not entirely positive about our foremost National Treasure. Would you come with us please..."

Thanks for the link, adrober! I have heard about the ads, but since I live in Australia, haven't seen them, of course.

As an American living abroad, I'm not inundated with all of the patriotic sentiments that have been saturating the US as of late. Guess that's why I find these sorts of things enjoyable when I run across them.

Oh, and the Ben Stiller spot is by far my favourite!

Come on Rusty...A$$H^LE...not all of us New Yorkers are bad.

Hey...at least thanks for thinking of us!

Gee, Rusty, that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all day. And you're right about my apartment -- it could really use a fresh coat of paint.

I am married to an ex-New Yorker, so I don't dislike them all. I just hate New York City, and the ordinarily quite charming New Yorkers when they get into a crowd. And the Yankees, but that's genetic, as I'm from Massachusetts. :-)

I really liked that Woody Allen guy. If he ever got into the movies, I bet he could go far.

The Woody Allen one is the best one, IMO, but the DeNiro-Crystal one cracks me up -- it's not even very funny, but the visual image of the two guys in those ridiculous costumes is priceless.

Nice to see Barbara Walter showing a self-depricating sense of humor, too...

Great stuff...
