As is always the case, Eponine's part is the best.

It goes on and on and-on-and-on. But I like it!

Once again, the People's Revolutionary Front and Mens Chorus are completely crushing it.

Crowe-related PTSD

Aww come on now he wasn't that bad.

Better than Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia, that's true enough.

I think you mean "Scream and Shout feat. Brittney Spears and iPhone Accessories"

This is the perfect excuse to post Adam Buxton's cover of Scream & shout in the style of Bish Bosch era Scott Walker (yes really).

His recent David Bowie special featured a cover of the David Bowie's laughing gnome song in the same style which may well be the greatest thing ever.

That parody was so much better than the original. will.i.am music without will.i.am in it isn't half bad.

Pinky-swear to me, MeFites: the next time there are 5+ musically-minded MeFites in a room together, we're performing this live. On a public street corner, to confound passersby. I'll bring the loaf of bread if you bring the hats.

Aww come on now [Crowe] wasn't that bad.

Relatively speaking
, yes. Yes, he was that bad.

Meanwhile, "Dream and Shout" is even more clever and delightful on the tenth viewing than the first. It's now my second favorite Les Mis parody.

Opposite reaction here. I just can't stomach most musical-theatre affectations,* do not get the appeal of Les Miz, and only managed to get through this whole parody since I unabashedly love the original song so much. I know everything that involves any of the Black-Eyed Peas is pandering, lowest common denominator crapsauce, but that song is catchy.

*Like, OK, were the singers here supposed to have such bad voices on purpose?

I'm not quite sure what this has to do with the Hoopet version (which, admittedly, I haven't seen), but like all the best LM productions, this is a pretty great PSA/propaganda piece for us ladies who like to keep their hair short.

Fantine with long hair in this video? Eh. Short hair? Wow.
NO I DON'T CARE IF IT UNDERMINES A CERTAIN EMOTIONAL MOMENT IN THE STORY

All of the visual cues and costumes are very much Les Miz as dressed in the Hooper version. But all of the editing and visual beats are from the will.i.am video. Same goes for the most of the singing - the autotune-ing and the female lead going slightly in dis-harmony with the male part is will.i.am's, but the vocal stylings of the leads, especially Marius and Cosette, is as the movie. That's why I'm incredibly fond of the video - the lyrics and concept signalled parody, but it was also an extremely on-point visual mashup.

(in that way, it goes one better than the Batman Maybe video, which is another personal favourite.)
