An Open Letter to Brian Fallon (of the Gaslight Anthem)

This post was deleted for the following reason: This seems like just a short opinion piece about a band not playing as well as the reviewer wanted them to? No biggie but it seems sort of thin for a post if there's not some really compelling external context to all this. -- cortex

A band played a set. A reviewer didn't like it. The review expressed disappointment but was otherwise not particularly noteworthy (not especially venomous or witty).

There must be more to this FPP that I'm just not seeing.

wut? ... am i missing something?

utsandiego.com called it a "solid set" - here's "great expectations"

sounds like weather conditions were a little rough as well. everybody has off days?

Those people are your fans. They deserve an amazing, mind-blowing set each and every time you set foot on a stage.

No. They really don't. Is there something strange going on here that I am missing ...?

It's the Airborne Toxic Event, Mr. Testa, not the Toxic Airborne Event.

If you can't even get a band name right 100% of the time, maybe you shouldn't be a music reviewer.
