Is this going to make me collect lollipops again?

Yeah, I'm through with games that don't let me plant lollipops. I'm gonna put lollipop planting into their suggestion box.

"Charges can be bought by clicking on 'Charge Accumulator' link in your Remote Control (or by this link)."

They are "bought" using real money. Just warning everyone here, there is some monetization involved.

But it's the most optional monetization I think I've ever seen in a game of this type. You never need to buy Charge Accumulations because you never need to charge because the game operates perfectly under a regime of complete neglect and will recharge itself quite quickly.

(PS: I see no reason why you can't give the command "plant lolipops!")

The charges also regenerate on their own (through your hero leveling and praying). It's only a slight advantage to buy charges, which are used to encourage/punish heroes and give commands (which heroes usually ignore because beer).

Yeah, the charges operate much more closely to a donations model. Let's not get too het up this early on.

I remember trying out this game ages ago. I'm surprised it's still around and being updated! It's pretty much just Progress Quest with a few tiny interactive additions. Actually, it's not too far off from Candy Box: most of the action happens when you're not there.

Explicitly so: the very first link in their intro text is to the wikipedia page about Progress Quest.

I'm just pointing out.

I remember buying .99 cents worth of Charges because I had at least five dollars worth of fun with it and I'm a damn cheapskate.

Also beer.

Damn you for posting this.

Also thank you for posting this.

No, damn you for posting it.

Oh I don't know.

Bloody addictive game for something where you really don't have to get involved.

And thanks for posting.

Damn you.
