I was thinking about taking some shrooms tonight with the g/f. Now neither of us need to.

Once a week I teach at a preschool here in Tokyo and to get there I take the Nippori-Toneri Liner, a relatively new (just built a few years ago) monorail. So for those wishing to get a glimpse of a bit more *ordinary* Tokyo automated travel experience, here's my humble documentation.

Beautiful. There are segments when the train seems to be floating across water - what's that about?

flapjax at midnite, I LIKED YOUR VIDEO! There's something about the everydayness of ordinary trail rides and such that really gets to me. I've always thought that mass transportation is one of the better ways to discover the true nature of a city. Visited Thailand a couple of months ago and can honestly say that the Bangkok Metro was one of the high points of the entire visit.

Is Hidden Tokyo a thing you're working on? Because that's great.

Love the sounds of the monorail, too. Is that subdued bass-y sound caused by the speed of the monorail?

Yes, it's a YouTube channel of mine, though I don't upload there as often as I'd like, due to time constraints. Hope you enjoy what's there, and thanks!

Yes, that's just the sound the camera picked up.

flapjax, your video makes me want to make one for Boston while I'm out today - only most of our subway is either underground, in a ditch, or, well, dull.

...Although I've never made it over to the poorly named Mattapan-Ashmont High Speed Line.
