You can just hit 'a' repeatedly after entering the code for a parade.

Why does the Konami code do nothing here on the Meef? I expected urinating elephants!

Another example of Konami Code Sites. There's also a Konami Code Sites twitter account.

And if you want to put this on your site *cough* pb *cough*, here's some code.

Artw, wasn't it mathowie who messed up the code? I think he said ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → ★

A god with hooves, a god with horns: "You can just hit 'a' repeatedly after entering the code for a parade."

Holy Zarquon's Singing Fish: "They move at varying speeds, so you can also have a race."

Of all the embarrassing things that my boss has probably accidentally viewed over my shoulder, this (and probably hitting 'a' so loudly and repeatedly) was the one that finally got him to ask 'what the fuck is that?'

The second best thing about this is the image URL: http://www.vogue.co.uk/_/media/prehistoric-trends/raptor1.png

Note: to get Konami codes to work, you'll have to turn off "automatically start searching when you type."

Or, if you just want to see all the velociraptors in hats, here they are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Try Wired UK. I dare you.

(It's a bunch of Condé Nast sites in the UK that are doing this.)

In a similar vein, there is British GQ, for those who prefer their velociraptors in more masculine attire.

The other interesting code is up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b which pops up a scroll debugger.

I spent a good chunk of time playing with this yesterday at work.

Not sure whether I'm more concerned that the IT guy knows that I'm wasting time or knows that I'm visiting British Vogue.

Definitely unconcerned about my love of well-dress raptors.

Are you a bad enough dude to read Vogue magasine?

It says something that GQ only has one raptor and he is boring.

Also, I'm in love with Raptor 8.

Spoiler alert.

On the third go, I got a dinosaur wearing a fedora.

Vogue just won the internet.

wait, where's the select and start ?

I've found that if you ask people to tell you what the Konami Code is, whether their answer includes the word "select" or not determines whether they had friends as a child.

Hmm, I'm just getting a debug mode overlay when I do this.

As a weird indoor kid who knew the 'select' part, I'd like to know if I break or fit the mold.

Booring. Only one outfit.

Try Wired UK. I dare you.

At least there are three images here (veloci-oculus, labcoat raptor, and nyaptor2) (the original nyaptor is just a little bit larger than #2).
posted by filthy light thief at 11:11 AM on July 11, 2013

A god with hooves, a god with horns, it's not so much knowing the select part as whether you instinctively added it in, meaning you were playing contra 2-player.

would it be bad to add the jquery raptor to the site of the law firm I work for?

Speaking as someone wholly disassociated from the implications of such a decision, I say go for it.

1. Yeah, one of the Wired raptors is actually Nyancat.
2. Visiting Vogue and GQ reveal, once again, that they are home to the sultriest photoshops on the internet. Some of those girls are somewhere between unhealthily and impossibly thin.

Yeah, one of the Wired raptors is actually Nyancat.

And if you hit A like a bunch of times, about 9 of them are Nyancat.

So, sad as I am, I tried all the Condé Nast sites. Vogue, GQ, Wired and Tatler are the only dino-enabled ones.
