"Babes in Troyland" = awesome.

(related, RIP Phil Hartman. You are still so sorely missed).

My favorite Troy McClure movie has always been "Dial M for Murderousness". It was the the first one posted to this tumbler of excellence.

The best Troy McClure moment ever:

Jimmy: Mr. McClure, I have a crazy friend who says it's wrong to eat meat. Is he crazy?
Troy McClure: [laughing] No, Jimmy, just ignorant. You see, your crazy friend never heard of the food chain. Just ask this scientitian.
Scientist: Uhhh...
Troy McClure: He'll tell you that in nature one creature invariably eats another to survive. Don't kid yourself, Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you care about!

R.I.P. Phil

The best part about that crazy friend who was crazy was the diagram of the food chain with so many odd animals all pointing to the human. That might have been the hardest I've laughed at anything on The Simpsons.

I expect that Troy McClure will return at some point, voiced by a different actor. It will either be the worst possible thing, or the best; I'm not sure.

Troy McClure WILL Return In: McBain Of Existence. This summer.

I always imagined Today We Kill, Tomorrow We Die as a gritty World War 2 movie, not a James Bond knockoff.

these are good but lack of context kind of ruins the execution...what made a lot of those jokes really sing is their juxtapositions, and Hartman's ability to sell both in one sentence.

for example: "You might remember me from such TV series as Buck Henderson, Union Buster and Troy and Company's Summertime Smile Factory.

Where is "The Half-Assed Approach to Foundation Repair"? I haven't seen that episode in so long, did it actually show the video cover?

Anyway, I am picturing something with donkeys. Was that it? Needs more Troy...

Here it is. From "Marge Gets A Job". Exactly one half of an ass.
