A Mercedes Benz limousine runs over a young Hitler in an (unofficial) advertising spot. Tobias Haase and other students at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg make a video ad featuring Benz's Collision Prevention Assist system.

Daimler Benz is not amused.

Germans ask themselves, is it allowed to use National Socialism parodies to sell products? And they can't seem to agree.

No. The German Criminal Code outlaws the "use of symbols of unconstitutional organisations" for any purpose. One should reasonably consider Hitler "a symbol of an unconstitutional orgainsation."
