Been listening to the shit out of Neil the past couple weeks. Guess I know what I'm gonna be starting my day with.

"Owner has not made a version of this video for mobile " means some large percentage will never watch it. Folks know this, right?

This is beautiful. This should be watched.

Plays in Safari on my iPhone. I just have to use the little Metafilter "play" icon rather than clicking the link, which fires up the YouTube app. Not sure why Safari can play these clips and the big fancy YouTube app can't, but there you have it.

This is great! I'll lose my mind if it turns out to be a re-imagining, like "Ski Boys".

(quick plug) A bunch of my friends formed a Neil tribute band called The Neil Young'uns and they're amazing. Check them out if you're ever in Toronto.

I've seen The Neil Young'uns several times. It really is the next best thing to being in a bar with Neil himself.

Also, the featured short film here is excellent. Love it.

wow, this really is incredible. I'm torn between thinking it really did float to youtube somehow from some eastern-European teens 15 years ago, or if a Hollywood hopeful is sitting right around the corner and that's a professional actor playing Babushka

Would the video be compatible with the Devo version or will I have to make my own?

The drummer is certainly having fun! And is that a young Derek Smalls on bass, pipe and all?

If it is contemporary footage, it's very well done - those kids have 1980s faces, never mind the clothes.

Could have done without Ye Olde Tyme Fylter, personally, but cute.

A commenter on youtube claims it's from 1981 and Northern Italy.

This is wonderful! Watched with a big grin all the way through. And that moment when they first sang, "The King is gone, but he's not forgotten" and they cut away to a rooster strutting around the farmyard - PERFECT!

I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse this year. Definitely one of the top 5 concerts I've ever been too.
