Good, I thought I was the only one. What's going on?

I can see the crowds now pounding on their door like Zombies.

I thinks it's about time Matt put up a page dedicated to only Blogger complaints...

Do you think it would be a good idea not to post to MF every time a Web site is down?

Whoops. Were those *your* Post-Toasties, Jason? Sorry about that.

Obviously jason doesn't rely on blogger for his fine html needs.

Hi guys. Yes, Blogger is bad these days -- today, especially. We're not sure what's going on -- other than it's a victim of it's success and these are rather typical scalability problems that a lot of sites (esp. appplications) run into when their growth reaches a certain threshold. Not that that makes it all right! But I just want everyone to know, that we're very, VERY aware of the problems. We've spent a lot of money and even more time trying to solve them, and we're spending more until we get Blogger responding like a Ritz-Carlton bellhop (sorry -- I'm stretching for an analogy here).

In a nutshell, the official story is: Sorry, we suck. But we're trying to suck less. We appreciate your patience.

BTW, MetaFilter is being served from Pyra now -- so we don't *totally* suck -- maybe we should have Matt stop designing and start recoding Blogger! (Just kidding, Matt. ;)

FWIW, we worry because we care, ev.   ;^)   It's all about the blogger love.

Putting six coders on that server really killed it, huh? :)

I never meant for my initial post on this matter to be of a pessimistic nature...i was kinda just pokin' the boys in the ribs a bit. It's a great thing to have, and it's free, so it's hard to complain too much.

I wonder why Blogger is so silly ...

Ahem...and *girl* don't forget. Poke the boys and the girl in the ribs a bit.

Now that blogger appears to be back, my website's server is down. I think i should just give up for the day.

Oh great. Just as I'm getting over Neale's evhead banner I'm stuck with an image of Meg covered in BBQ sauce. Damn you Pyrates! Damn you all to Hell!!!

I'm sorry.
It's all my fault.
Obviously, attempting to publish the extreme level of blathering drivel in my new meta-blog has fried the server's synapses.
Just look at the notices blog on the front page: Ev's apology is timestamped April 13th at 11:30PM, and I first saw it around Noon (unless of course, Pyra has secretly packed up and moved to somewhere in Asia!)

The Pyra Crew actually work in my car hole now. You know, it really sucks having to do things like fetch them drinks and sandwiches.
Funnily enough though, mark has asked to move in...

I feel compelled to point out that, given enough time, CUJoe imagines everything covered in BBQ Sauce.
