I've never seen his work, but that place is amazing.

Also, is preferring VHS to DVD unique to just this guy, or is it like cassette vs. CD?

Here's part two

Neistat also worked on some short films for artist Tom Sachs:

A Love Letter to Plywood

How to Sweep

Space Camp

and if you haven't seen it yet, you must watch:

Oh shit, I guess those Tom Sachs were done by Casey's brother Van. Or maybe both. Shit, I dunno, just watch them.

Oomph, it's all so organized. And he has good taste in little pocket cameras. The sometimes snarky tags and notes written on every single object remind me of Tom Sachs, so I guess it's not surprising that they know each other.

I used to work in the space next to this, except it was a lot smaller then - I think he expanded into our former offices. And it used to be Neistat Brothers. I wonder what happened to the other one?

Immediately prior to opening Metafilter, I was watching this. It's a short that Neistat made about getting a ticket for riding out of the bike lane in NYC. It was a pleasant coincidence to see this post.

Huh. I immediately thought of Tom Sachs's studio also -- and it looks like the Neistat Brothers actually used to work for Sachs, too.

Some may disagree, but i love the"no social visits"sign. When I am in Work Mode, I am fully unfit to interact with other human beings.

When I started the video, I thought I recognized his face and recalled that a while ago, quite by chance, I stumbled upon My Girlfriend Candice shortly after he had uploaded it.

Thanks for posting this. I'm super embarrassed about my basement, now. But what a treasure trove of storage / organization / workspace ideas.
