The lion burp at the end was a nice touch.

I'm so happy on behalf of the tigers, that pumpkins can float. It's like a super-sturdy beach ball to play with.

Things bigger than I am should not be so cute.

I could watch a tiger play with a pumpkin in a pond for HOURS (er, behind a fence and at a safe distance, obviously.)

Wanna rub all those fuzzy bellies. (Yeah I know the deadly clawing that awaits but soooo warm and fuzzy)

I love how the big cats (from the safe distance of video) act just like my pint sized housecats. It's like they're playing a giant sized game of Now It Lives On the Floor and I'm Gonna Take This Over Here, And Then Immediately Nap.

It must feel surreal to stuff a ghost pinata with meat.

This is the only Halloween video I look forward to every year.

Serval cat proves his essential cat-ness by demonstrating, "I could pee on this."

My cat was watching this with me and I covered his eyes during that scene, lest he get any funny ideas himself.

Big Cat Rescue has recently completed their Vacation Rotation Enclosure, a 2.5 acre area that they rotate the cats into for 2 weeks at a time. It has a pond, and it's open to the sky. Bengali, an 18-year-old tiger, was the first to go in, then 24 year old Flavio. BCR is a great organization.

Years ago my ex and I went to the Bronx Zoo and were at the tiger cage at feeding time. We were all crowded along the window where people could watch, and I forget how the zookeeper got the food into the cage - it was near the window where we could see, though. At some point, one of the tigers stood up on its hind legs and was trying to reach something just above the window - so its whole belly was pressed up against the window. And that sucker was easily more than ten feet long, from back legs stretched back up to this long belly and on up to its front legs stretching on away to whereever it was reaching. It steadied itself against the glass at one point, placing one forepaw against the glass right where my ex's face was; its paw was bigger than his face.

It looked very very fuzzy. Big and death-dealing at the same time, though.
