Xmas Fifties Fun For Shameless Kitsch-Loving Bachelors: Weren't girlie magazines awful? Coarse they were. But where else can you get a jolly seasonal story like The Xmas Present ("Charlotte had his gift all ready when Robert got home from the office party...")or real quality fiction such as On Vickson("With a snootful of booze, Santa delivered his goodies to the wrong apartment...")? If you are an unmarried male chauvinist pig(remember those?)Java's Bachelor Pad is definitely the place for all your tackiest and most questionable requirements. There's an Essays section for you more thoughtful types, where you can bone up on How Sex Lead Me To Communism or solve the mystery of The Mislaid Brassiere. Non-intellectuals are well catered for in the Femmes Fatales gallery, where the same elegant sophistication reigns.

From the Sex article:

"Too many speeches and not enough vaudeville, though, like they advertised. Have a beer?"

"No thanks. Too bourgeois. I'll take a Pepsi."

No punchline is possible.

Thank god for the Femmes Fatales galleries, as I've pretty much cycled through all of the modern porn that the net has to offer.
At this rate, I'll be reduced to having my way with Aboriginal cave paintings by March.

Swingin' groovy times, El Cardoso. Meet you at the martini lounge. You bring the cigars.

In keeping with the boys' club spirit, I'll throw in a link to retrocrush, which is tangentially related, and warn you non-swingers that there is some nekkidness there.

Nice linkages, Miguel. I'm a big fan of retro kitsch (check my nick) and this site is one that I amazingly hadn't stumbled across yet in my many years of scouring the web for space-age bachelor pad fodder.

Mmm, Jeanne Carmen...they just don't make women like that anymore. She's been popping up quite a bit on E! whenever they cover the Rat Pack.
