In the spirit of "Cog," here's Honda's "Illusions." Making of here. Via Hendrick Ball's "Grand Illusions."

I love forced perspective tricks even if they make my brain hurt every time the illusion is broken.

Some of those actually caused me physical pain when they broke illusion. Somehow my eyeballs wanted to track in multiple ways at once and there was a sort of pressure behind them as they tried. That was a weird feeling. Awesome, but weird.

It's worth repeated viewings... The table the lady's sitting at isn't a table at all, for example. But I think they edited out the shadows of the jumping men in the very first scene.

Where is this sterile concrete environment they're using for this whole shoot?

Assuming that they'll never run this spot in the US. TV here seems allergic to clever advertising.

Garrison Keillor couldn't sell me anything except maybe some kind of Anti-Garrison Keillor Missile.

This was shot in Zaragoza, Spain, among the Expo buildings.

The perspective tricks were neat, but the dulcet tones of Garrison were what really borked my brain, it was the most unexpected thing in the video.

That, and Honda doesn't sell a diesel here in the states. To our considerable misfortune.

(strange- I randomly chanced on some Grand Illusions videos a few hours ago, having never heard of them, and here it is again on the Blue)
