Juvenile, but pretty funny. I laffed.

Maybe at the next big meetup you guys should reconstruct some metafilter threads. I'd watch a few.

Good lord, it's like some horrible alternate universe's production of Pinter's No Man's Land.

YouTube Comment Reconstruction #2 - 'GoPro: Fireman Saves Kitten'

For whatever reason that one's funnier.

Also this dramatic reading of a breakup letter is my favorite in this genre.

The typecasting of Malcolm McDowell is one of the greatest injustices of our time. Everytime I see him in any crime of the week type show, or as a boardroom type, I'm like, "Oh, he did it" or "He's going to be a thieving White Establishment asshole with no soul."

Conversely, Youtube commenters could re-enact one of the dialogues of Plato.

I'm not sure why these kinds of things always make fun of teen girl things. There are many, many awful comment threads to choose from on anything video game related, too.

There is something about teen and tween girl drama, full of weird hormonal sturm und drang, that lends itself so beautifully to this kind of reading. Speaking as someone who was once a twelve year old girl myself, it all felt 100% serious and truly epic at the time.

Also, in my observation, gamer drama tends to get into much uglier territory with regards to race, sex, and general threats of violence, which wouldn't be quite as much fun.

Kudos to "Dead Parrot" (seriously, guys?) for actually getting real actors for this. That made it much better than what I was expecting: undergrads with talcum powder in their hair and pillows under their shirts doing dodgy "you killed my brovver" accents.

Yea, agreed with empath, there's definitely a thing in our culture about how girl things, especially teen girl things, are hilarious and silly. We'd do well to examine it a bit and not just accept it.

Sock Puppet Theater does this, wonderfully. I wish there were more.

On the other hand, teenagers being overly dramatic isn't really something we should take too seriously. I don't mean to be dismissive about a general problem of things being dismissed because they are "girly" - but making fun of their dramatic discussion about Beiber versus One Direction probably isn't the tipping point. I don't think.

I imagine, broadly, guys like sports, and tween girls are madly shipping from crackspace.

One of these makes better hilarity than the other.

I am sorry, I recently saw The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, and the scars run deep of stuff tween girls like.
