"Even if it's fake, it's real" is the reason for the season.

Well, that'll teach me to ignore the comments. I'm in the fake-or-not, it's brilliant camp though.

I stayed at a very good B&B in Photoshopton-Shire-Upon-Thames, or at least that's what I'm telling people starting...now.

Oh, well if a purported town councillor named Jason Kitcat says it's all a hoax, I guess that's definitive.

Well, that'll teach me to ignore the comments.

I don't even know which antishite browser add-on I'd have to disable in order to even see that there are comments on that page, so you're not alone there.

That's exactly what got me, George_Spiggott. Is it the ad blockers or the script blockers or the java disabler or the things that turn off gif bugs? And what the hell does Ghostery even do, and why did I install that?

British Mefites are more than welcome to correct me on this as I am almost certainly wrong, but I believe that for veracity's sake when telling people this you're gonna want to pronounce "Photoshopton-Shire" something like "Futshiptonsure", which might not work out as well if you're saying it out loud.

C'mon, this is clearly a real hoax.

Ghostery picks up some trackers that NoScript, Request Policy and Adblock don't: for example for Metafiler it picks up Quantcast, Chartbeat and Google Analytics
But it also whitelists some trackers.

At the link, I have no idea. I started whitelisting and still couldn't see the comments, but I balked at Facebook, where I expect they may be.

It's easy enough to add google-analytics, etc. to adblock without installing another addon. Just go to a page that uses it, go to "show blockable items" in the adblock menu, and add the things what you don't like.
