I'm pretty sure "Facts of Life Theme Song" is one of the greatest songs ever written.

Written by none other then Alan Thicke. It is a great song, but I'm not sure if I would consider it a great television theme song. Being that their primary purpose for existing is to either be a bed for the introduction clips/footage or to spoonfeed the premise of the show in lyrical form to the viewer this doesn't really do either.

Sure. It might be mediocre though.

Is that an epunysterical?

Not being glib, I genuinely don't know.

The iMDb listing for Facts of Life just blew my mind.

Actors who were on Facts of Life I didn't know/had forgotten about: George Clooney, Cloris Leachman, Molly Ringwald, Paul Provenza, Pamela Adlon, Jami Gertz, Lauren Tom (Amy from Futurama!), Eve Plumb (Jan Brady!), Mayim Bialik, Seth Green, Juliette Lewis, Helen Hunt, Ruchard Dean Anderson, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Crispin Glover, Casey Siemaszko, Jean Smart, Charo, El DeBarge, Moon Unit Zappa (okay, these last three aren't shocking for an 80s show), Paul Feig (Director of Bridesmaids), Dennis Haysbert, Maurice LaMarche (the Brain!), Richard Greico, and David Spade.

The David Spade appearance was in an episode that was clearly a backdoor pilot for a show that never happened that had a Friends-ish group of friends living in a huge NYC loft including young David Spade as an ER doctor.

Not really...I was being genuine. I liked it for the nostalgia, but it did seem mediocre. Just saying...Gah forget my comments tonight.

I keep meaning to recut the episode Ozymandias as an episode of Seinfeld, but I can't find clean audio samples for the scene transition music.

I'm obsessed with this clip, with the exception of the misspelling of Bryan Cranston's name.
