If you're anything like me (i.e, easily amused), you'll dig this piece of throwaway flash. Its Buffy's swearing keyboard, so don't play it at work, mmmkay?

What is a "minge" and a "quim"?

I knew I'd seen this here somewhere before. But when it's only in a comment and with a different http address at that, well, whaddya gonna do?

As for "minge" and "quim", they're the same thing. Although minge definitely has the nastier inflection of the two.

Quim has a Celtic root and thus pre-American in origin wonder why it never made the leap across the ocean.

stbalbach: I've been aware of the "q" word since, well, probably elementary school. It's definitely made the leap across the ocean, but it's only taken a sporadic hold.

Minge, on the other hand, well, that's news to me.

Oh dear god. That is simply the best use of flash I have ever seen!

I am unlikely to do anything else today aside from play with that most entertaining web application...

hold down the keys for awhile and you'll get some really interesting echo chamber effects.

once you realise the common meaning of "minge" in britain it gives this particular site a whole extra dimension: www.minge.org (via ntk.net - don't worry it's not a porn site).

Inspired by b3ta's Buffy Swearing Keyboard, the Steven Hawking Swearing Keyboard.

Very silly.

Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame. Lame. Frankly, I find this stuff embarrassing and I'm not even viewing it at work. The only thing that raised even a wry smile was the use of "quim" - reminded me of the excellent Denzil and Gwynedd from Absolutely. Classic British comedy that almost certainly never made it across the pond. :(
