Armchair Travel to Vietnam and Cambodia

Rusty Compass is a travel website that focuses on Vietnam and Cambodia. It is the work of one man, Australian Mark Bowyer, who has lived in Vietnam since 1993. There are the usual reviews of hotels, restaurants and tourist sites, travel tips and advice, but what makes it really special are videos and blog posts about local people and events, fascinating stories told with charm. posted by maggiemaggie (1 comment total) 17 users marked this as a favorite

Thanks for posting these! I've now watched the DMZ tour and the tour of Cat Ba Island, and they were both really low-key, scenic, and informative--I was strongly reminded of local PBS shows I've enjoyed in the past.
