Some of those are great. My favorite was New Mexico and the ET with the cattle prod. Are these folks from the north? Are they from MN? That MN snowplow snowdrift looked like it was made with great pain.

Can someone please help me out and clue me into what the heck they're trying to do with Illinois?

Not happy with the with the California one. Only one hippie in a greenmobile? No Silicon Valley techies, Hollywood stars, Mexican farmworkers, Comic-Con nerds or anyone else from the most populated state in the USofA?

The Canadian senator is fantastic.
I might have tweeted that one to the Senate just to amuse the person who runs the twitter feed.

Illinois is a Prohibition/Al Capone reference. They're serving "lemonade".

The ones featuring crowds (Alabama, Indiana) really drive home the point that basically every lego person is a white person.

Love the caption on the PEI one - it really is almost life-size!

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with Missouri's (my home state, which is generally disappointing) - it should be Huck and Jim on the raft, not Huck and Tom.

Thank you, Eyebrows McGee. (I tried to quote your comment, but the MefiQuote greasemonkey script didn't want to cooperate.)
After I posted my comment, I thought that might be what the deal was, but I was confused by the fact that not many SpeakEasys were disguised as lemonade stands, and very few trees held several kegs of any sort of beverage.
I admit I'm not too bright. Thanks again.

Most of these are fun, but:
Popular culture stereotypes of "Eskimos" are far from harmless, as they shape perceptions of indigenous people and promote prejudice.

More than anything, it seems to drive home the idea that making fifty jokes on a single theme is hard work, and isn't guaranteed a 100% success rate.
