Neil Bush is in Saudi Arabia

Neil Bush is in Saudi Arabia "The US media campaign against the interests of Arabs and Muslims and the American public opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict could be influenced through a sustained lobbying and PR effort," Bush, chairman and chief executive officer of Ignite! Inc., said in his keynote address on the concluding day of the three-day Jeddah Economic Forum at Hilton Hotel here. Does this seem appropriate? Are'nt the Saudis' cranking out terrorists at a pretty good clip?

...and a voice was heard from out of the Bushes. I have read that this is the brightes amnong the family. But it needs saying: Saudi Arabia does not even reocgnize the state of Israel officially. Talk about having your head in a sand dune.

Yes the Saudis are cranking out terrorists at a pretty good clip. They are also financing terrorists at a pretty good clip. And they are "schooling" the brand of Islamic fundamentalism that encourages terrorism. They also have created the oppresive environment that encourages extremism.
But we can't let little things like that get in the way of the Bush family increasing their fortunes. Old habits passed down from generation to generation. First granddad Prescott and trading with the Nazis, then Poppy and the Carlyle group and the Moonies, now Neil (of Silverado S&L fame) trading on the family name.
Is this a problem? Just tell Ashcroft, he'll take care of it. ;-)

A little background: O, Brother! Where Art Thou? asked the Austin Chronicle, back in March of 2001. Neil Bush was then raising the start-up capital for Ignite!, unhampered it seems by his earlier S&L depredations.
