Does the combo streak's effectiveness have anything to do with the colors of the blocks matched to trigger it? If not, I think the combo counter should be a neutral color. The most urgent part of the game is analyzing which colors are coming up next, and having a differently colored timer pop up every few seconds is real distracting.

Apologies to my neighbors who must have heard a volley of high-volume swearing as a complete hexagon of bars suddenly descended on me.
Good game; the simplicity of controls is a bonus (any game that takes less than 15 seconds to understand is a plus).

i should be great at this game but i'm really, really bad. midway through my second run i yelled out to my husband and my cat, "it's like roogoo all over again!!" (another game i should be good at but am not).

The beginning part is a bit slow and I sort of wished I had a space bar control to set down the incoming bars more quickly. It got more fun later on when things sped up.

I am very bad at this. My best score was when I let it go by itself as soon as it started to speed up.
If anyone is still working on this in projects and comes to read the comments then I find pressing Play does not start the game and that the instruction to click anywhere to restart doesn't work either.

Oh man. I have a feeling I'm gonna be addicted.
It reminds me of QbQbQb, but because it's so much simpler, it's easier to understand and seems like it makes a better "quick fix" Plus. I LOVE HEXAGONS! (Google "Hexagons are my totem shape" to see the top 2 hits with that quote *ahem* -- well, 3 now ;))

Yeah, I'm finding that restricting myself to one arrow key makes it a little less anxiety-provoking for me. Otherwise I get in that "YOU ARE SKIDDING AND ABOUT TO HIT A TREE TURN THE WHEEL TURN THE WHEEL TURN THE WHEEL BUT ONLY IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION OTHERWISE YOU WILL SLIDE TO YOUR ICY TREE-Y DEATH!!!!" panicky mode.

I swear this is like one of those versions of Tetris that 80% give you the least helpful blocks, but keeps your hopes up with that 20% that makes things work. I hate those games.

6233 today at work, but last night at home I was sucking so bad I only got a few hundred at some points.
I think one thing to point out for those who initially, like me, thought it was all about stacking vertically, is that it's just touching. doesn't matter if it's vertical or horizontal. 2 stacked and one to the side touching each other will disappear. Though I'm sure y'all figure that out, but it took me a little while to figure out why blocks seemed to randomly disappear.

Hexagons tessellate regularly, but are way less square than regular old squares! Also way less triangle than regular old triangles, but that doesn't sound as good.
Anyway, if you want HEXAGON GAME OVERLOAD, you should check out Hexatron (which, I just discovered when I searched it to write this comment, is one of Mefi's Own.) Hex Minesweeper! Hex Conway's! Hex Rogue (and also, the Java implementation of regular old square Rogue that touched off a young-me's roguelike obsession)
