VIDEO FROM A PUPPY POOL PARTY
There's a part of one of the ponds in Brooklyn's Prospect Park where they've fenced out part of the shore and part of the water to make a "beach" for dogs.
Sometimes I go to just sit and watch. Because this video and these pictures are why.

#2 looks like the end goal of koi breeding.
I sometimes rue that my dog is too dainty to get his paws wet. Then I see (and smell) people whose dogs feel free to jump in the river during a walk and scale back that ruefulness.

If you're walking along a beach and a friendly dog, especially a retriever, approaches you with a stick in its mouth - do your best to resist the urge to take it and toss it into the water.
You'll be darn lucky if you get home in time for supper.

Reminds me of that episode of Drag Race where they did underwater shots. These puppies are so posing. And adorable. Also: puppies. In conclusion, America is a land of contrasts.

You're not supposed to get them wet, or flash bright lights at them.
And don't ever, ever, feed them after midnight.
