The true meaning of romance.

Yay.

Watching Nick Cave, in this video, I just keep thinking: This is an artist who has achieved exactly what they wanted while being exactly who they are.

Love the video.

Aren't some of the songs in The Boatman's Call about her? Or all about PJ Harvey and someone else? Either way, this song reminds me that he made that album, by far his most affecting to me sonically and lyrically.

The Boatman's Call is about he and the Peej's relationship, IIRC.

You know how you thought someone was pretty hot when they were younger but now they've reached past 40, you're like, "No, no, actually you're much more incredibly attractive now than you were as a youth and I'd bang you like a screen door?"

These are my feels about Nick Cave (and Greg Dulli too, incidentally).

I love Cave and Minogue but for two entirely different styles of music. Minogue is pure pop happiness and it is lovely sunny day music. Cave makes me feel like I am about to be stabbed at any second. This isn't my favorite song, but having these two great flavors combined is very satisfying.

I love that song so much and sometimes sing it when I'm driving around, alone, of course, because my "Nick Cave" voice is too amazing for the public.

I can't find the original post, so this is kind of a self-link: Nick Cave shopping for art.
