I like that this little guy is cute but he definitely also is between a 3 and a 4 on the Bristol Stool Scale, so not not a very good cat. I think this caption summed it up for me:

Yeah but these are pygmy hippos which don't really get much bigger than a fat pony and also are not super aggro like regular hippos.

So Metafilter has just gone to hell since all you new kids showed up and ruined it. This used to be the best of the web. Now you're deliberately seeking out the worst of the web. What the hell is wrong with you? Were you raised in a barn or something? Jesus Christ. How hard is it to find a decent set of cat pics on the internet?

You all best just shut up and let the people who know how to make posts make the posts from now on. And show some respect! We've been here longer, and we know what we're doing.

To be fair, that tongue is as cute as a cat's tongue.

It is a cute tongue, you cannot deny it, even if it is moist, which tongues ought to be.

I have now typed tongue so often that it looks weird and wrong. Much like this cat.

As an owner of a cat who does nothing the way a regular cat does, has less dignity than a dog, and is not very bright, now I can at least say; well, it's not a hippo.
