Michael Jackson Wants Global Children's Holiday ``It would mean a lot. It really would. World peace. I hope that our next generation will get to see a peaceful world, not the way things are going now.'' Uh-huh. Does he have any comprehension of his public image about the fixation with children?

It would mean a lot. It really would. Imagine another day when kids don't have to go to school, and teachers won't ask where is little Jimmy? And no one will say he's visiting Michael at Never Land, AGAIN. Oh yeah, and little girls could think about world peace.

I think the whole "homosexual pedophile" thing is an act to keep us from finding out about all the bee-yotches Mike likes to "smack up" and "keep in line." Picture him saying "Don't hate the playa, hate the game, knowhutimsayin'?"

For real, tho.

My mother used to tell me that every day is Children's Day.

I think a global "Mercilessly Ridicule Creepy Celebrities Day" would be much more fun.

Yes! Let's make Jan. 31st "Mercilessly Ridicule Creepy Celebrities Day"! Lets continue with Tom Cruise and his dumb ass religion.

The link should work now.

Um...weren't the child molestation charges against MJ MOL shown to be a moneygrubbing fabrication of the kid's parents? Despite the fact that he came to a settlement with them, I thought that there wasn't much evidence that he'd done anything and that the settlement was just a way to make it go away (especially since it seems to me that the parents of a molested child would be less concerned about money and more concerned that proper punishment was meted out to the molester). He gives me the creeps, but I don't really question his motivations, I think he just likes kids, people can like children without being pedophiles.

I'm sure Hallmark would love another holiday.

I don't think he is really a pedophile, but he is really really strange. And given all the questions surrounding his interest in children one would think he would stop giving people material.

Yeah, but would you work the word "children" into virtually every sentence if the world thought you were a pedophile? It's his prerogative, but I wouldn't.

"Despite the fact that he came to a settlement with them..."

that's a pretty big 'despite' there. kind of like 'despite the holocaust, hitler was a sharp dresser.'

if he was trully innocent, he wouldn't have settled.

jc, it's possible that Jacko was innocent of being a pedophile under the law, but guilty of doing some creepy, career-killing stuff with kids. It's not always true that the guilty settle.

I suspect that mr_crash_davis' mother and mine had coffee together while we were at school.

On topic, though, I think MJ is just a very unwell, sad man who never had a childhood of his own, who really believes that he can make up for that by advocating relentlessly for children now. I doubt he has any idea how the world sees him, I doubt he ever will.

jcterminal, it's also likely (to my mind), that someone as clearly filled with neuroses about his privacy as MJ is would much rather make something like that just go away with money than have to deal with it publicly.

Modem Ovary, it seems to me that he's pretty clueless about a whole lot of things (and seems to live in a different dimension than most of the rest of us), unlike your own bad self, and it probably never occurs to him that mentioning children all the time is anything unusual.

I'm sure McBain just made a list somewhere, ridiculing Scientology like that. They're on the way to sue and brainwash him now.

Wow, that's very McCarthy of you. Not everyone thinks he's guilty, in fact the more most people know about the situation, the less they think so, in my experience.

You're right, jc. He should have spent millions more attempting that which is impossible--to prove a negative. He's a creep. Fine. Everyone needs to get over it.

Creepy being the key word there.

The guy was investigated for 18 months and the police never even charged him with anything. I think the calls of pedophile are a bit immature.

I don't think he's a pedophile. I agree with headspace in that maybe MJ is making up for his lack of childhood. Sort of like the deaf person embracing music.

Would you let your child spend a night at Neverland? Alone, with him? And what exactly is it that most people know which changes their opinion about Michael Jackson's weird attraction to young boys?

Ok...... I am a small child living in a war torn, equatorial land.
Yesterday, I lay beneath a twig of a barren tree - dying in blazing heat and slow starvation. Today I did the same, and a bit more. I gained a reason to cling on to this mortal coil. I spent a few delerious, fly blown seconds planning what to do on my Global Childrens Holiday! Have I not enough problem wise, without the added bonus of having to be grateful to a chimp-fingering, damaged embarrassment to the cosmetic surgery industry?
