37 years worth of back issues. I suspect this might be the greatest kite site out there.

Something about that website's CSS or Javascript doesn't work well with Firefox.. I get down to about 2003 and then the rows just get jumbled on top of one another.

I have to ask of you fellow members of our fair community, does that quote from the first issue of Kite Life remind any of you of our beloved radio announcer Cecil and his propensity to mention the unmentionable?

"You are very much wanted and needed in the breezy, exciting, beautiful world ... welcome to..."

As god is my witness, I have never, ever been able to get a kite airborne. Making me Worst. Dad. Evar.

In my youth, anyone could fly a kite just about anywhere.

Then I go to a beach this past summer and I find No Kiteflying ordinances.

Save the Birds, or something.

And so, like burning leaves, another childhood memory is hung out to dry.

It's cool to see this kind of ephemera preserved. Finding these niche magazines is like stumbling into a secret club.

*gleeful shriek* This is awesome.

I carry a kite in my vehicle at all times. It is my Emergency Kite because you never know when you might need it.
