OK, I'm going to make a quick tangent here on Too Many Cooks. I watched the thing and thought it was silly, the violence was over the top but whatever, I've seen worse. But the earworm dug in -- and the images of violence came along with the earworm. For about a week I was in a loop where I was not only hearing the song in my head, but seeing the slash violence as well.

So I am now actively cultivating a playlist of benign earworms that I can use as an antidote when I hear ones that are actively doing damage to my psyche. Gangnam Style? Call Me Maybe? Bring it.

I saw this a couple of days ago and it brought such joy to my life. To my mind, it's a million times better than "What Does the Fox Say?" which I couldn't stand (I say this with reservation, because I'm not reconciled to the concept, but it was . . . just so try-hard. It felt like the musical equivalent of "LOL SO RANDOM", which is a very different flavour from the joy of unexpected and unforced oddness, which is what I get from this excursion into barn-yard electro-dance).

The thing about "What Does the Fox Say?" is that that's actually what a fox says sometimes. So i'm not sure what's so random about it. It's about crazy fox vocalizations.
