I want so very badly to learn how to crochet. Not even amazing things like these shark socks but just a simple magic circle. However, no matter how many how-to diagrams I've studied or YT videos I've watched, I just can't figure it out. I do have lots and lots of 3-4" long single chains (about all I can manage before it all goes Horribly Wrong) in brick red colored yarn though so I comfort myself by saying I know how to crochet earthworms.

This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I'm kind of speechless at the creativity. And the little remora detail...just, wow! Fantastic!

Reactions over the course of reading the blog post:

- Oh, I think I've seen shark socks before...

- Hah, the knitted toes poking out!

- Reverse stockinette scales, cute.

- THE REMORA OMG THIS IS THE BEST.

I learned to crochet over the fall just so i could make the infant version of these for my friend's twins because oh my god sharks eating baby toes.

Sadly no tiny remora to go along with them.

Actually, the pattern does include remoras- I'm holding a kit in my hand. :)

I'm not sure how knowing how to crochet would help with the construction of these socks.

The Tsarina is brilliant, I have her Cowboy Boot and Kitri kits. The former is half finished (damn second sock syndrome).
