This is so good that when you look at full-figure picture—after you see the close-upsyou still don't believe it's not a drawing (or at the very least photoshopped).

Very cool.

Well, that's not even a little bit unawesome.

My brain can't figure it out. Can't. Wow.

Wow. I wonder what it looks like from other directions. How dependent is the illusion on having that particular perspective?

The underwear being slightly visible through the paint is the giveaway in the large picture. It's fantastically well done, though.

Wow. That's it.

Wow.

I feel like the physique of the cosplay model better suits the silver surfer than the ridiculous deltoids of the comic cover.

If you hadn't mentioned it I don't think I would have ever seen it. Wow.

If you want to see something similar but done to a plastic model robot instead of a real human, see here.

Ugh, cosplayers and their revealing clothing. Why don't they display a fanatical attention to detail and evidence of being serious fans of classic comic books and heroes?

Wow, that cosplay job is amazing. nth-ing the point that I didn't notice the line of the briefs until they were mentioned, despite that he obviously must have been wearing something like that.

(This is amazing! Like those Lichtenstein Dot girls costumes to the nth degree!)

If I'd waited until this morning to post this, I'd have come up with the title "But by god, Norrin, it was a photograph from life!"

I've disappointed myself.

Way to miss the point, ChuraChura! It's not about that. It's about ethics in... body painting?

(So can he actually move and look like that or does he need to hold that one exact position for the illusion to work?)

Impressive.

Speaking of the halftone dots, if you look closely to the underside of the pectoral, he painted the dots while doing some subtle shading, so that the implied shadow effect (in the comic) becomes an explicit shadow effect (on the model)

Brilliant!

Everytime I see one of these awesome cosplayer costumes (and this is absolutely amazing!) it completely crushes the little thought at the back of my head saying "I should wear a costume at next con". Because once you've seen this, how the hell could I ever measure up?

Add to the fact that one of my all time favourite super heroes is Silver Surfer. It's a completely ridiculous premise sure, but dang! surfing through space would be soooo cool!
