Wow, that's really beautiful! I love the mixture of wood and resin, or wood and glass.

That would have made for a far better headline, hal9k.

This is awesome.

The perfectionist in me can't help but wish he'd done a less sloppy job filling in the holes, though. All those glowing smudges would drive me nuts.

I believe he sands it down before a final finish layer, so the smudges you see in one of the shots aren't in the final object.

This is way cool :-) it's amazing nobody has thought of this before.

That, right there, is some spiffy use of materials.

I'd make one but sadly pecky cypress is not available locally for me.

In the photos this reminded me of yowah nut opal. I would absolutely love to own one of these tables.

I'd love a table like this in my house. The reasons to own my own woodworking equipment are stacking up.

That's right. And to be honest, it would be practically impossible to achieve the full effect without overfilling and sanding back, it's the only sensible way to get the resin completely flush with the surface of the table.

I want one of these tables more than I can possibly express. These are beautiful.

I assumed that, too, so I don't know why that would be the only shot posted of it in the dark. I'd love to see a shot of the table glowing in it's final form!
