I absolutely loved the feel of this movie. It had a nice flow. I was also sensuous and pleasing visually.

Well, that was certainly two and a half minutes long

That was super relaxing - it reminded me of the animated shorts on Sesame Street.

yeah that digital flute riot and in-no-hurry animation style really took me to some 70s PBS/TVOntario places.

Oh my God! He's draining the rice in some pink liquid!
What is that liquid anyway? I guess it should be soy sauce, but considering the end it might also be lipstick.
Anyway, you're supposed to put the soy sauce mainly on the fish, not on the rice.

The internet has destroyed my ability just to look. I spent most of the time wondering what the extra degree of difficulty was; perhaps every frame is a woodblock print meticulously made or something. I may have to step away for a while or perhaps only watch Yoriko Mizushiri animations for a month or two until my mind is clear of programmed expectation.

Shiri Play is completely delightful. NSFWFTTU though.

This video for Miu Sakamoto that Ms Mizushiri made is also lovely, in a quite different way.

not_on_display nails it with the excellent point that there is absolutely no wrong time to remember Rahmens' "The Japanese Tradition" series

I love that here on Metafilter someone is criticizing the table etiquette in a surrealist cartoon.

Having the shoes already placed along the path so you can step from shoe to shoe is a great idea. Reminds me of following a path in the snow and only stepping in the premade footprints. I'm inspired; I should set that up for my commute to work.
