Intelligent Design Is this a viable alternative to teaching only evolution in schools? Or is it some crackpot theory that one nut in a school board in Ohio has latched onto? *Discuss*

Sorry to have posted a NYTImes link... it was the only place I could find a rational discussion about this... also please don't think I am calling this crackpot... personally, I think htis has always been an interesting topic... is science's theory on Darwin and evolution the only thing that should be tought in a Country where Church and State are seperate?

It does not seem to be a viable alternative, it is not just one nut on the Ohio school board, and we talked about it in great length on Friday.
