Oh, you laugh. But that's a dog that's not going to fall for any stupid ventriloquist's tricks.

Good work, Walter.

I just realized you can't spell suffocation without cat.

I just reread the weird/amazing/weird novel Lives of the Monster Dogs, and now I want to see more dogs in military uniforms.

Awwww. Walter is a GOOD BOY! Yes he is!

That's one dumb dog.

Our Rottweiler used to play with the lemons that fell from the lemon tree. Bite --> zing! --> bark bark bark --> Bite ---> zing! --> bark bark bark.

Also a dumb dog.

The stuff in the apology link makes me sad. Dogs do not deserve to be tricked (although no apparent trickery has occurred in the link), nor should they be made into our clowns. It's not nice to abuse their trust.

Google Search Poetry is fantastic. Thank you!

ps. It makes up for all the other horrible things in this post, aesthetically if not ethically.

pps. Okay, I admit, awkward mascots is actually sort of funny, and the world's saddest playgrounds are pretty fantastic. Also, this. I take back most of my nasty unspoken comments.

That first moment... *squeak* *stop* "Baroo?"

I died.

I am going to eat your soul. (From the 'apology' link).

Is it possible that Walter has slight hearing loss--so he can't tell the direction the sound is coming from?

~tears of laughter ANYWAY~

Oh man that Google search poetry link is wasted among the cute animals... There some serious gems there.

This is why my mental catalog of the world includes a "golden retriever" category that people occasionally get filed under when I observe them displaying that exact expression in response to whatever (metaphorical) squeaky ball life happens to hand them.

Walter: *tilts head*

Wolfdog: Walter, the squeaky ball is a metaphor

The ninja cats.

That is all.

Ims telling you I hurtses myself.

What a gentle mouth that golden has!

My dogs know exactly where the squeak comes from and they play not by gently tossing the toy, but by repeatedly biting down *very hard* to make them squeak (before just ripping them apart.)

Walter can't find the squeak, I can't find the cat in the picture with the television. Halp.

I think he's worried he's hurting it. Squeaky toys sound like prey being injured. Which is why my dog loves them to death!

Oh never mind. That cat is very black. It's like, how much more black could this cat be? and the answer is none. None more black.
posted by artychoke at 9:12 PM on February 5, 2015 [4 favorites]

None more black.
