The first tainted gold medal has been awarded at the Olympics. At least, that's what a lot of people seem to think about the Russia-Canada upset in pairs figure skating. I'm not big on the Olympics, partly because of the mixing of judged and scored events. Are judged events really sports, and should they be included as medal-winning events in the Olympics?

It's almost getting time to implement a Kuro5hin-style metafilter on the front-page links. Help eliminate the duplicate articles, and possibly help eliminate the ever-increasing number of articles that (judging by the followup count) no one cares about.

Whoops - my bad on a duplicate post. I searched for figure skating and didn't see it.
