Hello cat, you need a coat and some sunblock.

Photographer Alicia Rius has a series of photos of Sphynxes. Have you ever wondered where a cat's bellybutton is? Whether a shaved cat's paw looks a lot like a frog's foot? Wonder no more. Bonus Sphynx kittens in her instagram.

This is one of the strangest creatures I've seen in some time. I have no idea how this person got her cat wedged into a scrotum, or why.

I would adopt one of these weird-ass cats in a second. I know everyone thinks they're gross and freaky, but I don't care. I want to snuggle up with one of these lil aliens and stroke their disturbingly human-like skin.

Thank you so much for this. I have always wondered where a cat's bellybutton is.

Aside from the fur thing and also being a cat, this is suspiciously similar to how my dog looks when I make him dance to Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

Something about this photo from the dog series just seems unspeakably....Brooklyn.

I've done petsitting of Sphynxes, and if you can train them to sleep at your feet (not hard), it's like having a hot water bottle that never gets cold.

When I petsat, one of the cats and my cat HATED each other during the day, but overnight the hairless cat would sleep at my feet under the covers and my cat would sleep in her usual position at my feet over the covers directly on top of him, and they seemed to just be willing to pretend it was a pillow or something until I woke up when the fighting would recommence. They once stayed with my parents and their huge-ass dog and I think the cats would have preferred to live with the dog forever as an excellent heat source.

They do tend towards burning themselves on heaters, though.

I think I prefer mine unshucked...

I hear they are very snuggly cats because of the whole 'constantly cold' thing

Some of my relatives have sphinxes, and they are the friendliest dogcats I've ever met (they play FETCH!). I always wanted one, until I found out from said relatives that they leave GREASE SPOTS on the comforter where they sleep. I mean, it makes sense. But ew. I'll settle for hanging out with other people's non-allergenic cats, rather than raising grease spots of my own.

My sister used to have a couple, and they were really great dogcats.

I find these photos really interesting. To me, they bring to mind nude/ barely clothed athletes and senior citizens. They are both beautiful and grotesque.

I got to pet one once. He felt like a fuzzy peach!

Aw, I love their grumpy little faces. Also I bet they'd be more amenable to wearing hilarious sweaters than most cats.

There were some in the Cat Fitting and Showing part of the local fair. The cage had a sign which said 'do Not Touch!' Well the cat touched me. They are very soft. This one cried when I was done admiring her and went to check out the other pretty cats.

I absolutely adore this breed, but I'll admit that I have no idea what's going on in this one and am afraid.

I think the cat is looking up and over its right shoulder, possibly intercepting transmissions from the homeworld.

Great photos! My neighbor has a Sphynx, the first I've seen in person. S/he comes out fairly often to sit on the window ledge on their second floor flat and observe the street action, and seems pretty adorable.

Oh god! How did I not see that? I thought it was a really weird nubby chin on a thing with no eyes.

BTW the grease thing is totally true and they will also leave streaks on your walls. And yes, they wear sweaters, at least here in Canada.

They are so cute. We already have three delightful furry beasts and Mrs. Michaels does not approve a fourth. Also sphinx disturb her a bit. But I love them so much.

Proof positive that felines are in fact not of this earth, as previously suspected.

This is one of the more disgusting things I've seen on the internet, and I've seen a lot. Two thumbs up!

omg i love them so much! my husband is less enthused, but i think i'm wearing him down! the furry cat of the house might be a little upset by the addition, but goddamn i want one.

beware, nudity ahead, but (porn star) dana dearmond has a couple sphynx cats that she posts on her instagram. you can even buy a shirt of doodlebug (all links nsfw).
