Wow - this was way, way better than I expected it to be. Also - I know where they got those tins (the XOXO one and the one with the arrows) - I have both in my bedroom.

They're from Michael's.

Cute but I still hate hamsters, biting horrors of my childhood.

You were bitten because you never served them perciatelli pasta with red quinoa meat balls.
Hamsters 101.

I'm currently off work with flu and this made me feel better at the same time as raising my heart rate to dangerous levels

Chameleon Bowling

That is one of the best things I have ever seen.

I find myself wishing he'd served them from one plate so they could do the Lady-and-the-Tramp thing,

I love that they eat the flowers. And the slurping of the pasta just the way humans do.

As for chameleon bowling, well, I have to confess that their tongues creep me out.

Hammy's a real catch.

D'awwwwwwww.

Also, I like the thing where the gendered-female hamster clearly has testicles. I choose to take this as a commentary on how sex and gender are not intrinsically linked, which makes the whole thing even cuter. Or maybe they just only had the two hamsters. But I like my interpretation better. :D

(That Hammy show is basically a pared-down American Saturnin, if you ask me, which I know you did not)

I could watch hamsters stuff their cheeks ALL DAY.

Great Roderick's ghost! I'll have you know 'Tales of the Riverbank' was a Canadian-British production. The pilot was filmed in 1958 and premiered in 1960, predating the debut of the little duck by a full four years. It's truly sad these days how little people know about anthropomorphic animal live action TV show history.

Why yes, I am (supposed to be) working on my taxes.
