this sounds like a great tool for someone to execute my brilliant idea of making a bot that grabs quotes from multiple people, mashes them out, and misattributes them to a third source. it'd be especially great in this one if it misattributed them to someone related, like a different role played by one of the same actors, or a different character from the same movie as one of them

I thought this was a pulp fiction quote - most likely a homage?

Ah - Brett, not Brad

In the movie he kind of mumbles something between Brett and Brad.

Is this the biggest cliche? We gotta get out of here 1144 mentions in 993 films.

It also has some TV shows.

Is it just the restrictions I have in place, or does this just throw up a white page on Firefox?

Yeah Myspace, the blogosphere, Metafilter

On preview: working fine for me in Firefox, oheso (running AdBlockPlus, on Win 8).

Well it fails the Voight-Kampf test

Your link is horribly broken, so at least someone fails some test. (Might be me failing the woosh test.)

fearfulsymmetry is right - they don't have Blade Runner. They think they have Blade Runner, but there doesn't appear to be a script attached to it. Or at least I couldn't find any Blade Runner quotes, and specifying Blade Runner as the movie didn't help.

(I was also about to say that this looks pretty similar to subzin.com but with a more modern UI, but it seems the same guys built that site so not sure what the difference is, maybe they just got bored and built another one.)

(and no, subzin doesn't have Blade Runner either)

oooooooooooo (etc) looks powerlawful:
o's mentions titles
1 103422 31068 (bad entry--it is counting O'brian, etc)
2 2507 1257
3 1555 677
4 218 150
5 87 56
6 76 45
7 22 12
8 23 13
9 32 16
10 4 4
11 2 2
12 2 2
13 0 0
14 2 2
15 13 13 (Many ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo)
16 2 1 in A Garfield Christmas Special
It seems ooo-containing titles average 2 or 3 ooo's each. Interesting.

Suuuuper helpful tool for inquisitive super cut-ers.
Before tools like this—dig through brain for memory of a visual or auditory 'phrase'. Soon we will all be able to run and cut up the media of the world as swift efficiently as Stewart/Colbert's monstrous TiVo machine.

Huh, and here I always thought that line was from Babe.

discombobulated
a silly word with a special meaning to me, especially since I grew up mispronouncing it as 'discom-BOOB-ulated'
posted by oneswellfoop at 5:47 PM on July 19, 2015

Interesting idea, but shit UI. It's lacking the single most important feature — the ability to link to a specific quote.
